Terrestrial Television
Digital terrestrial television is only available in the main centres of New Zealand. This includes the normal free-to-air television channels. A good aerial is required and ‘line of sight’ to the transmitter, otherwise we recommend you go with satellite television. Analogue television will stop broadcasting in 2012, so if you are not using a television set top box / decoder of sorts we recommend that you have one installed before the panic sets in during the latter stages of 2011.
